Bill Matthews, a Biomedical Illustrator/Animator with a keen interest in science and nature, has been growing Carnivorous Plants since he was 8 years old. He has won numerous awards for his plants at the Durham Fair, Connecticut Flower Show, and New England Carnivorous Plant Society Annual shows. He will present several varieties of insect eating plants and explain their habits and place within our ecosystem.

The Wallingford Senior Center,
Wallingford Garden Club and the
Wallingford Public Library invite you to an
art show, flower show and book display
combined into one special event.
The Senior Center's Great Room will be filled with original paintings, floral and garden arrangements, and specially-selected poems that compliment one another in this amazing triple exhibition.
An additional featured art show representing senior artists and mixed mediums will accompany this event.

This day-long bus trip to Newport includes Flower Show & tour at Rosecliff Mansion and gardens, free time in downtown Newport.
"A Floral Fair" is this year's show theme.
Cost $80 WGC members or $128 nonmembers includes:

Wallingford Garden Club meets the second Tuesday of the month September through June. The September and June meetings are closed to the public. Our open meetings are held at First Congregational Church, 231 S Main Street, large meeting room at back door.
The format of our meetings is four (4) tiered:
1) arrive early to Sign in.
2) 11:00 Guest Lecturer: A knowledgeable speaker provides information and/or a demonstration on a different topic every month highlighting Our Purpose
3) 12:15 Social Time & Lunch: BYOBag lunch. Dessert, coffee and tea are provided by the Hospitality Committee.
4) 1:00: Business: The progress of current and up-coming projects
and activities is shared by the various committee chairs.
All are welcome to attend any presentation October - May. Non-member Donation $5.00
The purpose shall be to stimulate interest in horticulture, to aid in the protection and conservation of natural resources, to preserve heritage, to promote civic beauty, to advance the art of floral design, to promote sound landscaping practices and to educate in all these areas.
